Maria leads brand and marketing with thoughtfulness and intention. She shapes strategy, oversees creative, and works closely with PR and copy partners to keep every touchpoint cohesive and true to the firm. She holds vision and execution at once, helping define the brand, sharpen how it shows up, and build the systems that support growth. Grounding her approach in authenticity and transparency, Maria’s work invites people of many different backgrounds into a real conversation.

Maria has led marketing and creative for several professional sports organizations. Her design work for MiLB was featured on ESPN. The social strategy she created for the WNBA drove a 400% increase in engagement and earned coverage from news outlets across the country. She has partnered with brands like Snapchat and brought her signature strategic range to website work for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies.

Over time, Maria’s focus shifted toward smaller organizations and more values-aligned work. She founded Cozort Creative Group to help small and minority-owned businesses define their brand, sharpen their position, and create systems that support growth.

When she steps away from work, Maria heads outside or unwinds by crocheting and playing with her dogs. She’s no stranger to a solo backpacking trip in a new country. Because community is the heart of her work, Maria lends a hand during the holidays at local food pantries. She’s also a devoted big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
